Lisa Alexander, Rx for Success
After
getting fired from her job as a travel agent, at the travel
agency in the bargain basement of a department store which
housed the travel agency she worked in, Lisa Alexander
learned a very important lesson: she learned to ask herself,
“Is this the job I really want?”
Twenty years and a lucrative pharmaceutical
sales/management/recruiting career later, she says, “Before
you interview with any company, it’s essential to become
familiar with the functions of a position. The successful
candidates I’ve hired and placed all have a common thread:
They knew the business they were entering, and had
researched the company before applying. They knew that in
order to be successful you have to be happy.”
Lisa’s own definition of success in a job, “If you enjoy
something so much that it doesn’t seem like work, what could
be better?”
